the state of health care

In general I don't like to rant and rave online- or read about people's gripes but, I just can't stand it anymore.
I just got off the phone with our health insurance company Humana One, in which I was transferred from department to department- then treated like crap. I do nothing but hand these people wads of cash every month and get very little in return. If this is how the healthy people who might need a trip to the doctors office for a strep test once every six months are treated, I can't imagine how you are treated when you have a serious medical condition.
Something has got to give. This country has got to change. Give Obama a chance. All I hear from friends and people around me is worry or complaint about their health coverage. So, what are we so scared of- can it really get any worse? Come on people, grow up. Black, white, Democrat, Republican- get over it- Barack Obama is trying to help you, he's trying to help all of us.

Amen Noelle. As we pay more every month for health insurance than our two car payments, and still have to pay $3,000/year for a family deductible, I find it completely ridiculous. How will my children be able to afford insurance if they're self employed or underinsured? I'm ready for change. It was scary being uninsured for a year, and there are about 31 millions americans who have no health insurance.

I hear ya! I haven't had any major problems with our insurance company but I get so annoyed when I think that this upcoming baby is still going to cost me close to $3000 after co-pays and deductibles.

I just thought I would say that I have never been a big fan of anything "government run". So I'm not sure how I feel about the government running health care. The people aren't super stoked on their jobs and aren't very pleasant at times, i.e.: DMV, Post Office, etc. So I would hate to have my health care treated in the same manner. However, I have had great insurance, thanks to my hubby's company, so I wouldn't change a thing about what we have currently and I hope if things do change, then they don't change for us. I'm happy with the way things are.

You have got to be kidding! How about paying 3 times more for 20 times less? Government is 77% less effective at EVERYTHING they do! Gee, I guess you could change providers instead whining but you better hurry because if you get your way and I HOPE to GOD YOU DON'T... you will not have a choice...OH I know you think BO's & the Dems are the party of "Choice" but you are deceivced...it is only when you CHOOSE their option. Man, young people are stupid in this Country! I'm going to Costa Rica before this place turns into a 3rd World warzone and you will have only yourselves to blame. The Government that is big enough to give you everything you want is a Government that is big enough to take everything you have. Oh...and your blog...only if approved by the LEADER. Practice your goosestep.

Under House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's health care reform bill, Americans who don't maintain "acceptable" health insurance coverage and who choose not to pay a fine/tax of up to 2.5 percent of income are subject to fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years...
By the way, THEY decide what's acceptable.

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence. You cannot help people permanently
by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves."
Abraham Lincoln..............

The minimum insurance purchase will be 8K per year...that's 666.00 per month...very interesting number! If you do not pay it, you get fined...if you cannot pay the fine..you go to PRISON Thank you, Warden Pelosi!
When are you dumbasses gonna wake up and see this will be a police State? If you don't you will deserve the destruction that is coming.
